          Considerations for Using the Olark Connector

          Keep these considerations in mind when using the Olark connector.

          • To track visitors, add the Account Engagement tracking code to a page with an Olark chat box.
          • When a visitor chats in, the chat operator receives an Olark message with the visitor’s current page, current session information, connection location, and a link to the visitor’s record in Account Engagement. If there’s no prospect record, an operator can create one with the visitor’s email address.
          • To create a prospect from a pre-chat survey, the operator or the visitor must send a message.
          • To add the Olark chat box to a classic landing page, paste the Olark code before the </body> tag in the landing page layout template.
