          Create an Email Test List

Use test lists to send your team the email that you’re working on before sending it to prospects. You can see how your merge fields populate and ensure that links are rewritten properly.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Account Engagement Editions
          User Permissions Needed
To create and send to email test lists: Account Engagement Administrator or Marketing role
To create test prospects from the user table: Account Engagement Administrator role
          1. Open the Lists page.
            • In Account Engagement, select Marketing | Segmentation | Lists.
            • In the Lightning app, select Prospects, and then Segmentation | Segmentation Lists.
          2. Click Add List.
          3. Complete the required fields, and select Email Test List.
We recommend you name your list something obvious such as “Internal Test List.”
          4. Click Create List.
          5. Open the Users page. Select Admin (Account Engagement Settings in the Lightning app), and then User Management | Users.
          6. Select the users for your test list.
You can include up to 100 recipients in a test list, however you can’t add regular prospects to a test list. Account Engagement creates a test prospect for each user that you add to the test list.
          7. From the table action dropdown menu, select Create prospect and add to test list.
          8. In the dropdown menu that appears, select a test list and click Go.

After you create a test list, you can send to it from the Testing tab of the classic email builder.
