          Considerations for Syncing Custom Objects

          Considerations for Syncing Custom Objects

When syncing custom objects between Salesforce and Account Engagement, keep these considerations in mind.

          • Before you create or sync objects in Account Engagement, create the equivalent object in Salesforce first.
          • To sync a Salesforce custom object, it must be queryable. Objects that aren’t queryable don’t appear in the CRM Object dropdown in Account Engagement.
          • Custom objects are read-only in Account Engagement.
          • You can’t use variable tags with custom objects.
          • Custom objects sync in the background every 10 minutes.
          • New custom object records sync automatically after the custom object is created and mapped. Updates to custom object records also sync automatically. You must manually sync custom objects that were created in Salesforce before the Salesforce Connector was created.
          • By default, custom user roles don’t grant access to custom objects. Manually grant custom object permissions for each custom role.
          • Before integrating a custom object with more than 800,000 records, contact your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager.
          • Salesforce Macros can’t be synced, and they don’t appear in the CRM Object dropdown in Account Engagement. These objects include Macro, MacroHistory, MacroInstruction, MacroInstructionChangeEvent, MacroShare, MacroUsage, and MacroUsageShare.
