Email is a key part of any marketing strategy, so it’s important to get the most out of
your efforts. Account Engagement offers two email experiences: enhanced and classic. For the
latest features, use the enhanced email experience, which is built on the Salesforce
platform. If you’re not ready to move to the enhanced email experience, the classic email
experience provides all the basic tools to test, send, and track emails.
Build and Send Classic Emails The classic email builder in Account Engagement guides you through creating emails and templates that you can use again and again. Always test your emails and templates so that you can improve your content. In the classic email builder, you can easily move between editing and testing your content.
Preview and Test Classic Emails The classic email builder in Account Engagement includes tools to preview and test your email. You can send to test email lists, send individual test emails, and generate inbox previews across email clients.
A/B Testing for Classic Emails Send two different versions of your email to a small subset of your recipient list. Then use engagement data to choose a winning version and send that version to the remainder of your list.
Reuse Email Designs with Account Engagement Templates To save time and standardize your marketing content, create email templates for the types of emails that you send most often in Account Engagement. A template is a starting point for a list email that your team can use repeatedly. Using a template also reduces the chance that you forget something important, like a piece of branding or standard contact information.
Personalize Account Engagement Emails with Variable Tags With variable tags, you can use content from your prospect records to personalize your emails and insert standard company information in email templates. Variable tags are part of a legacy merge language and aren’t available in business units created after June 12, 2020.
Allowed Characters in Email Addresses Account Engagement complies with the RFC’s 2822 standard for email address verification for both prospect and user email addresses. Addresses with non-UTF8 characters, such as Japanese or Russian characters, can’t be validated.
