          Handling Email Replies

When sending an email, you can designate a sender and a Reply To email address. Selecting a Reply To address affects where replies to emails are sent.

          No Reply-To Address Selected

Replies to emails sent without a designated Reply-To address, including out-of-office notifications, are sent to the address the email appeared to come from. The original sender can be a specific user in your account, a general email address, or the prospect’s assigned user. You select the sender on the Sending tab when creating emails and email templates.

For example, if an email’s sender is info@company.com, replies to that email are sent to info@company.com. If the sender is set to the prospect’s assigned user, and the assigned user’s email is jim@company.com, replies to the email are sent to jim@company.com.

          Reply-To Address Selected

Replies to emails sent with a Reply-To address, including out-of-office notifications, are sent to the designated Reply-To address. You select the custom Reply-To address on the Sending tab when creating emails and templates.

          Note
Note It’s up to the prospect’s email server (for out-of-office notifications) or email client (for replies from the prospect’s inbox) to send replies to the Reply-To address.
