System Resources
The amount of system resources that are used by the Salesforce connector is related to how
often information changes in either system. The number of prospects in your database can
also affect system resources during a sync. Another factor to consider is data skew, which
affects performance, because sometimes when a mapped object changes, all of its related
records are synced.

By using the Salesforce connector wisely, business units with millions of prospects can
have the best possible performance.
Reduce Data Skew
Where possible, reduce data skew in your Salesforce object model. To reduce data
skew and improve performance, create multiple business units instead of a single
generic one.
Limit Object Relationships
When information is synced from a Salesforce object, it can sync all the related
objects. In general, try to have fewer than 30 objects related to each Salesforce
object that you sync.
Map Required Information Only
When setting up the Salesforce connector, map only the information that you
need.
