          Prospect Field Types

          The field type defines the kind of data a field captures. Several field types are available in Account Engagement.

          Required Editions

          Available in: All Account Engagement Editions

          Character limits noted here apply to custom fields. Limits for default fields vary. Character limits are fixed and can’t be changed. If a value over the character limit is imported, it’s truncated.

          Type Format and Features
          Text Single-line free-form text entry for concise data points. The limit is 65,535 characters for custom fields.
          Number Number value. Used for incremental actions and criteria in rules and dynamic lists.
          Date Date value. Used for time-based criteria in rules and dynamic lists.
          Radio Button Customized radio button. The prospect can select one option out of several.
          Checkbox Custom checkbox. The prospect can select multiple options out of several.
          Dropdown Custom dropdown menu. The prospect can select one option out of several.
          TextArea Multiline free-form text box for detailed information. The limit is 65,535 characters for custom fields.
          Multi-Select Custom list. The prospect can select multiple options out of several.
          Hidden Invisible field. Used to capture data, but isn’t visible on forms.
          CRM User Connects to Salesforce users to serve as a Send From address. You can’t use this field type on forms or form handlers.
