          Customizing Forms

          Customizing Forms

To create hosted forms in Account Engagement, use the form wizard. For more control over your form’s look and feel, use layout templates and customize your form code.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Account Engagement Editions
          • Layout Template Form Code
The contents of the form tab is inserted into the %%content%% tag of your layout template.
          • Change Submit Button Image in Forms That Use Layout Templates
When you use a custom layout template with forms and landing pages, you can insert an image for the submit button. Add custom CSS to the layout template that’s associated with either the form or the landing page it’s embedded on.
          • Change the Submit Button Image in Landing Page Forms That Use Stock Templates
If you use a marketing form on a classic landing page that uses a stock template, you can change the submit button to an image. Image-based buttons aren’t available on templates in the My Layout Templates section.
          • Change Form Font Styles
You can change your form’s font by adding code to your layout template. If your form is on a landing page that you created in Account Engagement, add the code to the landing page’s layout template.
          • Create Layout Templates for Forms
Layout templates are used to format landing pages, forms, and site search results. Layout templates do not support server-side scripting languages.
          • Add CSS Classes to Fields in Forms
You can add CSS classes to individual fields. Adding a class to a field lets you target that field with CSS.
          • Form CSS Classes and Examples
When your form’s layout template has a <style> tag, you can customize your hosted form’s CSS by targeting the default style classes.
