You can view and edit a prospect’s mailability status on their prospect record in Account Engagement. If a prospect asks to be opted in or out, you must complete their request manually.
You can also use the Do Not Email field to suppress prospects from marketing emails.

Note Opting in an unsubscribed prospect who hasn’t explicitly requested to be opted in violates
the Account EngagementPermission-based marketing policy.
Prospect Mailability Status To give you insight into which emails prospects can receive from Account Engagement, all prospect records include a mailability section. Prospect mailability depends on a few factors, including opt-in status and previous email bounces.
Manually Change a Prospect’s Opt-In Status If a prospect asks to be opted in or out of receiving marketing emails, you can complete their request manually. When a prospect syncs with Salesforce, Account Engagement records the opt-in status from the most recently updated record.
Reset Bounces on a Prospect Record When a receiving email server can’t deliver a message, the message is bounced back to Account Engagement. Depending on the reason, the returned email is recorded as either a hard or soft bounce. A prospect can have one hard bounce or up to five soft bounces before their mailability status becomes Undeliverable. After you resolve a bounce issue, you can reset the bounce count on a prospect’s record.
Suppress Prospects from Receiving Emails To avoid emailing prospects too often or sending irrelevant content, use one of the suppression tools available in Account Engagement. You can suppress many prospects at once with a static or dynamic suppression list or suppress them individually by editing the prospect record.
Help Prospects Resubscribe to Account Engagement Emails Set up an automated prospect resubscribe prompt for your forms to let unsubscribed prospects opt back into receiving your marketing emails. After you enable Prospect Resubscribe and choose an email template, we ask unsubscribed prospects if they want to receive a resubscribe email when they fill out a form. An Account Engagement admin can customize the default resubscribe messaging globally, and a marketing user can control the messaging on individual forms. Prospect Resubscribe isn’t available for form handlers.
