When a prospect is paused due to bot-like activity, an icon appears next to their name
on the prospect table, and an error appears on their prospect record. Paused prospects aren't
eligible for automations, including dynamic lists.

Engagement Editions
Account Engagement flags prospects as bot-like when they exceed these
activity thresholds:
1,000 associated visitor records
5,000 recorded visitor activities
5,000 visitor page views
A prospect is paused if their activity level impacts the health and performance of your
business unit. Often, a paused prospect with that kind of activity level turns out to be a
bot, though there are other causes to look out for too,
including improperly placed tracking code and using old test prospects.
In cases where the activity levels are unexplained, it’s best to archive the prospect or
permanently delete the prospect from your business
unit. If you must resume activity tracking for a paused prospect, you can delete their visitor records.
Use the View dropdown list on the prospect table to filter for paused prospects. Paused
prospects aren’t eligible for merging.
