          Create Custom Account Fields

When a default field doesn’t capture the prospect account data you need, an admin can create custom fields in Account Engagement. Then, map and sync custom fields with Salesforce account fields.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To create custom fields: Account Engagement Administrator role
          1. Open the Account Fields page.
            • In Account Engagement, select Admin | Configure Fields | Account Fields.
            • In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement Settings | Object and Field Configuration | Account Fields.
          2. Click + Add Custom Field.
          3. Name the field. The name is used internally for identification and isn’t visible to prospects.
          4. Select a field type from the dropdown.
          5. Don’t change the custom field ID. This ID isn’t visible to prospects.
          6. Map the field to a Salesforce field name.
          7. Choose optional field settings.
          8. When finished, click Create custom field to save.

When you map a new custom prospect account field, Salesforce account field values don’t sync automatically. To update all field values, trigger a full sync.
