Validating prospect field values during import helps you keep your data clean and
consistent. An Account Engagement admin can validate prospect default and custom fields that use
predefined values. When a field is set to validate, a value updates on import only when it matches
a predefined value.

We recommend that you validate on import for a few reasons:
Validating your values on import ensures that your data is as clean and uniform as
possible.
Uniform values help keep your data consistent when syncing with Salesforce.
Consistent field values make it easier to implement automation that uses these values.
Validation errors are included in an error report .csv file that is emailed out with the import
summary.
