Syncing Prerequisites for Accounts That Don’t Allow Multiple Prospects with the Same Email
Address
Syncing a prospect to Salesforce requires a corresponding Salesforce record or the
prospect must be assigned in Account Engagement. If your business unit doesn’t allow multiple
prospects with the same email address, prospects sync to Salesforce records with matching email
addresses.
Required Editions
Available in: All Account
Engagement Editions
If a prospect has an email address that matches the email address of a record in Salesforce,
the two records can sync. These prospects require an assigned user in Account Engagement to
sync. Prospects flagged Do not sync with CRM don’t sync to
Salesforce.
If a prospect has an assigned user but Salesforce doesn’t have a record with a matching email
address, a record is created in Salesforce. Unless you’re using Active Assignment Rules in
Salesforce, the prospect must be assigned to a user in Account Engagement to create a record
in Salesforce.
