The click-through rate, along with the open rate, is a simple metric for understanding how
prospects engage with you. Sometimes, the open rate looks strong, but prospects don’t
interact with your email content.
The click-through rate equals the number of unique link clicks in an email, divided by the
total number of delivered emails. Unsubscribe link and email preferences page clicks don’t
count toward link clicks.
In emails that contain multiple links to identical URLs, the report shows the same
percentage for each duplicate link. Because the URLs are the same, it’s not possible to
accurately determine which link drove the click. To get this information, append a tracking
ID to each link that you want to monitor. That way, the URLs are different, and the report
can track them separately.
View the Click-Through Rate Report After you send an email, look at the Click-Through Rate report to see which links your prospects clicked. Use this information to optimize content or link placement in other email sends.
Heatmap Key The Click-Through Rate (CTR) report uses a heatmap to explain what percentage of prospects clicked links in an email. In addition to showing the values for each link, the heatmap uses a color code to show click traffic at a glance.
