An Account Engagement sandbox is a business unit that’s provisioned from a Salesforce sandbox. When using an Account Engagement sandbox, keep these guidelines in mind.

          • Changes that you make in a sandbox don’t automatically sync to production. To copy changes in bulk and push them to your production org, use the Account Engagement Sandbox-Production Bulk Asset Copy Flow. Or, recreate changes manually in production.
          • Refreshing a Salesforce sandbox deletes the associated Sandbox for Account Engagement.
          • Performance is sometimes slower in sandbox orgs.
          • You can't move an Account Engagement sandbox to a different Salesforce sandbox.
          • Account Engagement sandboxes don't support the Data 360 Connector, B2B Marketing Analytics, Engagement History dashboards, the Google Ads connector, Sales Emails and Alerts, or email sends, previews, or tests.
          • If you created your Salesforce sandbox before you purchased Account Engagement, refresh the Salesforce sandbox before you create an Account Engagement business unit. Review considerations for managing multiple business units.

Here's how to get started with sandboxes.

          1. Log in to a Salesforce sandbox.
          2. Verify that the B2BMA Integration User has the Account Engagement Integration User permission set.
          3. Create a business unit.
            1. From Marketing Setup, select Account Engagement Setup.
            2. Enter a name for the business unit.
            3. Select an admin for the business unit and save your work.
The admin is responsible for activating the business unit and adding users. You can change the admin later.

After you save the business unit, the admin receives a welcome email to guide them through the activation process. After activation, the admin can choose a new admin to manage the sandbox.

          Note
Note Sandboxes without login activity for 150 days can be deleted. We notify you before a sandbox and its data are scheduled for deletion.
