An Account Engagement admin can pause syncing to make configuration or data changes that
could impact the data that syncs. Pausing the connector temporarily stops the flow of data until
you resume syncing. It doesn’t make any permanent changes and doesn’t archive your business
unit.

To pause the Salesforce connector:
Account Engagement Administrator role
NotePardot is now known as Marketing Cloud Account
Engagement. We wish we could snap our fingers to update the
name everywhere, but you can expect to see the previous name
in a few places until we replace it, including in the app
itself.
When you pause the connector, the following data stops syncing:
ObjectChangeLog
Custom objects
Prospect (Lead and Contact) related objects
Campaign Member
Opportunity Contact Role
Prospect Account (maps to Account object in Salesforce)
Emails (sync to Task object in Salesforce)
Opportunity
Some object data continues to sync when the connector is paused.

User
Metadata
Prospects can be manually synced with Send to Pardot on a lead or
contact record.
Open the Connectors page.
In Account Engagement, select Admin and then select
Connectors.
In the Lightning app, select Account Engagement Settings
and then Connectors.
Click next to the
Salesforce connector, and select Pause Sync.
Note If you use Marketing Data Sharing, make sure sharing rules are configured as expected
before you resume syncing.
When you’re ready to begin syncing again, click next to the Salesforce
connector, and select Resume Sync.
