User Reports for Sales Emails and Alerts

Track how leads and contacts interact with the campaigns you create in Sales Emails and Alerts. Use reports to discover which emails and templates performed the best over time.

          Note
Note Salesforce Engage is now known as Sales Emails and Alerts. You can expect to see the previous name in a few places until we replace it, including in the app itself.

To access reporting, click the Engage Reports tab in Salesforce.

You can filter your reports by selecting All Emails, Templated Emails, or Non-Templated Emails (emails sent without templates), and selecting a date range from the dropdown.

          All Emails Filter

The All Emails filter highlights in a graph the unique opens and clicks for all emails during the period.

The all emails table is below the graph view. It displays all email sent during your selected timeframe and includes delivered numbers, opens, and clicks. Clicking an email subject takes you to the Email Performance view for that email. Clicking the Delivered, Opens, or Clicks link in the table takes you to the Detailed Recipients view for that email.

          Templated Emails Filter

The Top Templates graph shows the top-five performing templates for the selected timeframe, based on opens.

The table shows all your emails that use templates for the selected timeframe.

Clicking a subject link takes you to the Performance view for that email. Clicking the Delivered, Opens, or Clicks link in the table takes you to the Detailed Recipients view for that email. The Template Usage table lists your email templates, the campaigns that each template is used in, number of emails delivered, and clicks.

Clicking a template name takes you to the Performance view for that template. Clicking the Delivered or Clicks link in the table takes you to the Detailed Recipients view for that template.

          Non-Template Emails Filter

The Non-Templated Emails graph highlights unique opens and clicks, total opens, total clicks, and the clickthrough rate for all non-templated emails during the specified period.

The Non-Templated Emails table displays all emails sent without templates during the selected timeframe and includes delivered numbers, opens, and clicks. Clicking an email subject takes you to the Email Performance view for that email. Clicking the Delivered, Opens, or Clicks link in the table takes you to the Detailed Recipients view for that email.

          Performance View

Clicking an email subject or template name takes you to the Performance view, showing more statistics related to the selected email or template. The graph shows opens and clicks by day. This view also shows email statistics, clicks for each link, and the email or template content.

          Detailed Recipients View

The Delivered, Opens, and Clicks link take you to a list of prospects that have received the email, opened the email, or clicked any link, respectively.

Clicking the recipient’s name takes you to the lead or contact record in Salesforce.
