Considerations for Setting Up Sales Emails and Alerts

Before you set up Sales Emails and Alerts, review considerations.

          • Before you can set up Sales Emails and Alerts, you must have a verified Salesforce connector. For more information, see Connecting Account Engagement and Salesforce.
          • Sales Emails and Alerts isn’t supported for Salesforce sandboxes.
          • Don’t add legacy Custom Permissions for Account Engagement to your Salesforce profiles.
          • To load all user variable tags when using Send on Behalf Of, create Account Engagement users for all account, lead, and contact owners that are used in a from address. Then link them to their CRM username.
          • A net-new prospect may appear in an alert in Sales Emails and Alerts before it syncs to a Lead or Contact record. Because it hasn't yet synced, this new prospect displays without a Salesforce cloud icon. After the prospect successfully syncs to a Lead or Contact record, subsequent activities display the Salesforce cloud icon.
