          Anonymous Visitors

          Anonymous Visitors

An anonymous visitor is someone who has visited a page with your tracking code on it, but hasn’t converted to a prospect yet. Prospects are visitors who have an associated email address in Account Engagement.

          • Converting Visitors to Prospects
A prospect is a visitor with a known email address. Account Engagement tracks visitors and converts them to prospects when an email address can be assigned, which typically happens via a form submit.
          • Visitors Report
The Visitors report displays the captured website sessions of anonymous visitors and identified prospects. You can filter sessions based on page views, campaign, and date range. To access the visitors report, navigate to Prospects | Visitors. The visitor report contains at least a year of data for anonymous visitors.
          • Associate a Visitor with a Prospect
Most prospects are related to their visitor activity when they convert, but you can manually associate a visitor with a prospect. This feature comes in handy when you’re in contact with a potential prospect whose company is in your visitor report.
          • Automatically Remove Unconverted Visitor Records
Free up system bandwidth to improve overall business unit performance and adhere to privacy regulations by automatically deleting stale unconverted visitor records. Deleting stale unconverted visitors is permanent. You can’t retrieve the records after they’re deleted.
