Example Engagement Signals
Salesforce Personalization provides several standard engagement DMOs that you can use when creating engagement signals. Use these examples to recreate engagement signals to track individual engagement with your personalizations, or use them to familiarize yourself with how to construct your own engagement signals.
- Example: Product View
This engagement signal monitors for and tracks catalog product (object) views by individuals. Configuring this engagement signal creates a default view count metric. - Example: Product Click
This engagement signal monitors for and tracks catalog product (object) click engagement by individuals. Configuring this engagement signal creates a default click count metric. - Example: Add To Cart
This engagement signal monitors for and tracks when items are added to the cart by individuals. Configuring this engagement signal creates a default add-to-cart count metric. - Example: Product Order
This engagement signal monitors for and tracks catalog product (object) order engagement by individuals. Configuring this engagement signal creates a default product order count metric. - Example: Product Order with Offer
The engagement signal considered in this example, monitors and tracks catalog product (object) order engagement where a promotion is applied at checkout. Use this engagement signal when you define a custom objective that recommends promotions or related offers based on a customer's product interests. - Example: Knowledge Article Click
This engagement signal monitors for and tracks knowledge article click engagement by individuals. Configuring this engagement signal creates a default article click count metric.
