Manage an Experiment
When you configure and save a personalization experiment and save it, its status is Created. You can start, stop, archive, edit or delete an experiment at any time from the personalization point Related tab.

- From the App Launcher, search for and select Personalization Points.
- Locate and open the personalization point that has the experiment that you want to manage.
- From the Related tab, locate the row that contains the experiment you want to manage.

From the action menu, select the management option that you want to use.
OPTION DESCRIPTION Start This option starts the experiment and places it in the Started state. Once an experiment is started, it can’t be edited. This is meant to minimize introducing any additional changes during the life of the test. Stop This option stops the experiment and places it in the Stopped state. After stopping an experiment, you can only archive or delete it. Archive This option archives the experiment. Archiving the experiment removes it from the experiment section in the personalization point Related tab. By removing the experiment, you have the option of running a new experiment on the same personalization point. You can no longer run an experiment after you archive it. Archiving the experiment retains all records and data for the experiment. You can access any data for this experiment, or delete it, from the Experiment tab, but you can no longer use it on a personalization point. Edit This option opens the experiment configuration for editing. If you haven’t started the experiment yet, you can edit any settings. If you have already started the experiment, you can’t modify any functional settings, including the API name. Delete Deletes the experiment completely, including any underlying records.
