Make Assigned Approval Work Items Accessible on an Experience Cloud Site

Add the Flow Orchestration Work Guide component to the related record page in your Aura and LWR sites for record types referenced by approval steps.

Required Editions

View supported editions for Flow Approval Processes.
User Permissions Needed
To create an Experience Cloud site:

Create and Set Up Experiences

AND

View Setup and Configuration
To customize an Experience Cloud site:
  • Be a member of the site

    AND

    Create and Set Up Experiences
  • OR
  • Be a member of the site AND an experience admin, publisher, or builder in that site
To publish an Experience Cloud site:
  • Be a member of the site

    AND

    Create and Set Up Experiences
  • OR
  • Be a member of the site AND an experience admin or publisher in that site
To run a flow in an Experience Builder site: Run Flows

Your org must have Flow Approval Processes enabled.

  1. In Experience Builder, go to the related object detail page.
  2. From the Components panel, drag Orchestration Work Guide onto the page layout.
    1. (Optional) For Title, enter a name for the component to show users at run time.
    2. (Optional) For Sort Order, select the default sort order for approval work items.
    3. (Optional) To show the name of the running flow approval process for each work item, select Show Orchestration Run Name.
    4. (Optional) To show the flow approval process stage name for each approval work item, select Show Orchestration Stage Name.
    5. (Optional) To show the flow approval process step name for each approval work item, select Show Orchestration Step Name.
    6. (Optional) To hide the component when the user has no assigned work items, select Hide Work Guide When Empty.
    7. (Optional) To open the next work item from the same running flow approval process after a user completes an approval work item, select Automatically Open Next Work Item.
      The default behavior is that the component shows a refreshed list of work items after a user completes a work item.
  3. Save your work.

Add the Approval Work Item Object List page to your Aura or LWR site and make sure that the site is published. Then activate the flow approval process.
