To add a custom button to an object’s record page layout, you must have created a custom button.

          Note

          2. From the Setup menu on the record page, select Edit Page.
          3. Select the Highlights Panel at the top of the page layout.
The Page > Highlights Panel opens.
          4. In Page > Highlights Panel, under Actions, click Add Action.
          5. For Actions, enter the label for the custom button you created.
A list of all items that contain the text you typed is shown.
          6. Under Custom Buttons, select the name of the custom button that you created and then click Done.
The button label is added to the bottom of the list of actions for the highlights panel.
          7. Optional. If you want to change the order that the custom button appears in the record page layout, drag the it to a higher location in the actions list.
          8. Save your work and exit Lightning App Builder.
The custom button now appears in the top panel of the record page.
