Make Autolaunched Flow Approval Processes Available to Users
Approvals based on an active, record-triggered flow approval process automatically run when a record is added or updated and meets the flow approval process’s entry criteria. However, approvals based on an active, autolaunched flow approval process aren’t run automatically. Before a user can manually submit an approval, create a button that calls an active autolaunched flow approval process and add the button to the relevant record page.
- Add the Request Approval Component to a Record Page
Add the Request Approvals component to a record page layout in Lightning App Builder. Submitters can submit a record for approval by using the component. Configure the component so that submitters can select an approver and add submission comments. - Add the Request Approval Component to Experience Cloud Sites
Add the Request Approvals component to an object details page layout in Experience Builder. Credentialed Experience Cloud site visitors can submit a record for approval by using the component. Configure the component so that submitters can select an approver and add submission comments. - Create a Button that Runs an Autolaunched Flow Approval Process
So that users can manually send a record for approval by using an autolaunched flow approval process, create a button for the records to be submitted for approval. - Add a Custom Button to Run an Autolaunched Flow Approval Process
After you create a button that runs an active, autolaunched flow approval process, add it to the Lightning Experience record page layout for the affected object. After it’s added to the record page layout, users can manually submit records for approval.
