          User Permissions Needed
To edit process automation settings: Customize Applications

Flow approval processes send email notifications from the Automated Process User Email Address specified in Process Automation Settings. If you don't specify this setting, Salesforce looks for an organization-wide email address with a purpose of Default No-Reply Address. If that doesn't exist, Salesforce uses any verified organization-wide email address. If no organization-wide email address exists, Salesforce uses the email address of the user running the flow approval process. If the orchestration run associated with the flow approval process runs in system context without a user, Salesforce doesn't send the email.

          Note
Note If you have an existing org-wide email address with a purpose of User Selection and Default No-Reply Address, you don’t have to set up a new one, but make sure you’ve specified it as your Automated Process User Email Address in Process Automation Settings in Setup.

          Note

To send email from Salesforce, Flow Approval Processes requires domain-level and user-level email verification. Email delivery fails if either the user's email address or the email-sending domain is unverified. See Requirements to Send Email from Salesforce .

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter organization, and then select Organization-Wide Address.
          2. Click Add.
          3. Fill in the Organization-wide address form.
            1. For Display Name, enter a name that labels your org-wide address.
Recipients see this name in their inboxes, but this address doesn't respond to replies. Use a descriptive name that sets clear expectations.
            2. For Email Address, enter a company email address that can be used as the From Address in your email.
            3. For Purpose, select User Selection and Default No-Reply Address.
            4. Select Allow All Profiles to Use this From Address.
            5. Save your work.
          4. View your org-wide address and the status, which reads Verification Request Sent.
          5. Go to where you can access email from the address that you specified in the Email Address field.
          6. When Salesforce sends an email to the company address you entered previously, approve and verify the company email address.
          7. Go back to Salesforce, and check to make sure that the status of your address is Verified.
          8. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter automation settings, and then select Process Automation Settings.
          9. For Automated Process User Email Address, specify your org-wide email address.
          10. Save your changes.

          Activate your flow approval process.
