Activate or Deactivate a Flow Approval Process

You can have multiple versions of a flow approval process in Salesforce, but only one version of each flow approval process can be active at a time. You can activate or deactivate a flow approval process in Flow Builder or from the flow approval process’s detail page in Setup.

When you activate a flow approval process version, the previously activated version, if one exists, is deactivated. Any in-progress approval submission based on the flow approval process continues to run using the version that it started with.

          1. To activate or deactivate a flow approval process in the details view, from Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter flows, and then select Flows.
            1. In the quick menu of flow approval process in the Flow list view, click View Details and Versions.
            2. Click Activate or Deactivate in the row of the flow approval process version that you want to affect.
          2. To activate or deactivate a flow approval process in Flow Builder, open the flow approval process to affect, and then on the button bar, click Activate or Deactivate.
