Delete Approval Submission Records

Delete approval submission records to fulfill GDPR and other data deletion requests. Deleting an approval submission record also deletes its child records.

Required Editions

View supported editions for Flow Approval Processes.
User Permissions Needed
To delete an approval submission:

Approval Admin

OR

Modify All Data

You can't delete an in-progress approval submission directly. To make an in-progress approval submission eligible for deletion, cancel it or delete its parent record.

  1. Open the Approval Submissions list view.
    • From the Approvals app, click Manage My Approval Submissions, and then select the All Approval Submissions list view.
    • From App Launcher, search for and select Approval Submissions. Select the All Approval Submissions list view.
  2. Delete the approval submission record. You can’t delete an in-progress approval submission.
    • From the dropdown for the relevant approval submission, select Delete.
    • Click the approval submission name, and then from the approval submission record, click Delete.
    The approval submission record and its child records are deleted.
