View Flow Approval Process Dependencies in the Approvals App

Flow approval processes rely on flows to run steps and evaluate complex conditions. Flows can also use an Action element to call a flow approval process. To understand the relationships between a flow approval process and the flows that it call and that call it, view the Usage tab of the Orchestration Version page or the Orchestration page in the Approvals Lightning app.

          • Determine Flow Usage in a Flow Approval Process Version
Flow approval process versions use flows to run approval and background steps. Flow approval process version stages and steps can use flows to evaluate complex criteria. Those criteria can determine when a background or approval step starts and when to mark a stage or approval step as completed. View the flows that a flow approval process version uses to understand these relationships.
          • Determine Flow Approval Process Usage in Flow Versions
Flow versions can call a flow approval process from an Action element using the Request Approval action. View the flow versions that use an autolaunched flow approval process before making changes to the active flow approval process version.
          • Add the Automation Usage Component to View Flow Approval Process Dependencies
The Approvals app shows the flows that a flow approval process version uses and the flow versions that use a flow approval process. The Approvals app uses the default Orchestration Version and Orchestration pages to show this information. If you customized either page, add the Automation Usage component and save the updated page as your org default.
