Emails About Flow Approval Process Errors

When an approval submission's orchestration run fails, Salesforce sends an error email. The email is sent to either the admin who last modified the associated flow approval process or the Apex exception email recipients.

The email includes the error message with details about the:

  • Flow Approval Process
  • Executed flow approval process elements
  • Flows called from flow approval process steps

For an activated flow approval process, the error email also contains a link to show the failed orchestration run details in Flow Builder.

If an approval submission's orchestration run fails because of a flow it calls, then the recipients receive an error email for the flow approval process failure and an error email for the flow failure.
