Build Automation Event-Triggered Flows
Configure triggers to process records when events occur in integrated applications.

Open the Flows list view.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
- From the Automation app, select the Flows tab.
- From the Flows tab in any Lightning app, click the actions menu and select Open Flow.

Create an automation event-triggered flow.
- From the Automation app or the Flows tab, click New. Search for and select Automation Event-Triggered Flow.
- From Setup, click New Flow. Search for and select Automation Event-Triggered Flow.
The Configure automation properties panel opens. - Select a data space.
- Optionally, select a data graph. To use vector search data actions, don’t select a data graph.
- Click Next.
- In the Start node, click Select Event.

From the Event Library, select the event that triggers the flow.

If you're using real-time data actions, select the Custom Real-Time Data Graph
Event.
Note When you select a calculated insight as the trigger object, resource pickers in other flow elements don't show resources related to that calculated insight. -
To trigger when a file is attached to a record, select File Attach
and then select an available event.
Note Custom objects are not supported when using File Attach as an event that triggers the flow. - To use a vector search data action that triggers when a new record is indexed in Data 360, select an event based on a search index and configure the search parameters.

If you're using real-time data actions, select the Custom Real-Time Data Graph
Event.
- Configure the event.
- Configure the rest of the flow.
- Save the flow.
Thoroughly test your flow before activating it.
If this flow uses a vector search data action, a vector search data action and a data action target is created in Data 360 after the flow is activated.
