Group Flow Elements in Auto-Layout
Organize related flow elements into named, collapsible sections to make complex flows easier to navigate and maintain.

Groups are named containers that hold related elements in a flow. Use groups to break a complex flow into logical sections, such as the steps that validate input or the steps that create records. Collapse a group to a single card to hide the details of a section you aren't working on and keep the canvas readable.
Groups are available only in auto-layout mode. In auto-layout, your changes are automatically saved to your draft flow. To make your changes permanent, save your flow before you close its window in Flow Builder.
Manage Groups
Create a group to start organizing a section of your flow, then add new elements inside it or move existing elements in from elsewhere on the canvas. As your flow evolves, update a group's name and description to keep it accurate, or delete elements without affecting the rest of the group. Collapse a group so you can focus on other parts of the flow, and expand it again when you're ready to work on it. When a group no longer serves a purpose, delete it, either along with its elements or while keeping those elements on the path.
