Make Your Screen Flows More User Friendly

Make Your Screen Flows More User Friendly

Create intuitive screen flows that guide users through every step. Customize screen styles and layouts, display progress indicators, and validate input so users know immediately if they've made a mistake. Use conditional visibility to show only relevant components, and implement reactivity and screen actions to make screens respond dynamically to user input. Help users make informed choices with visual cues, and translate screen components for multilingual audiences.

          • Customize Screen Element and Component Style and Layout
Provide a better experience for the users running your flow by customizing the style and layout of your screens. Get the look that you want by changing the style of your entire screen element, or the style of individual components. Make your screen more user-friendly by organizing your screen components into columns by using sections. Also, adjust component width and vertical alignment to control spacing and positioning.
          • Preview Screen Layout and Styles
See how your screen flows appear to users when the flows are added to Lightning Experience and Experience Cloud sites. Ensure that the flows match the look and feel of Lightning Experience or Experience Cloud sites before you activate the flows. Additionally, preview how your screen looks on different screen sizes.
          • Showing Users Their Progress in a Screen Flow
Keep your users informed about which stage they’re in and how far they’ve progressed in a screen flow. Create stages to designate steps in the flow, and use a progress indicator to show all the stages and highlight the stage that the user is in.
          • Conditionally Show Screen Components
You can control when screen components appear based on conditions you set with conditional visibility.
          • Make Your Screen Elements Dynamic with Reactivity
Use supported flow screen components, formulas, and screen actions to update screen components in real time without leaving the screen. With this reactivity, you can build screens that feel like single-page applications and reduce the number of screens that users have to navigate to complete tasks. This reactivity is supported with API version 59.0 and later.
          • Help Users Select Faster by Using Visual Cues in Choices
Associate familiar icons with choices to help users make selections faster. Choice resources with icons display as dropdown lists in Choice Lookup components and as tiles in Visual Picker components at run time. Icon-based choice resources are supported in all screen-based flows except Field Service Mobile and Discovery Framework Data Capture.
