Choice resources display selectable options in flow screens. Choice resources can appear as radio buttons, checkboxes, or picklist fields. There are several options for choice resources that you can use, depending on your business need. We recommend using a choice resource only when you can’t use a record choice set or a picklist choice set.

Record choice sets and picklist choice sets are easier to configure and don’t require as much maintenance as choices because they're using records and picklists from your org. For example, if a value is added to a picklist in your org, the flow uses the updated picklist values without you needing to update the flow.
