Create Slack Channel Action
Creates a Slack channel. Channels in Slack can be either public or private.
Required Editions
| View supported editions. |
In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. In the New Action window, select Slack, and then select Create Slack Channel.
Usage
To use this action, you must connect Salesforce and Slack, and set the Create a channel Workflow Builder step in Slack to Everyone.
Set Slack Channel Details
| Input Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Slack Channel Name | The name for the Slack channel you're creating. |
| Slack Workspace ID | Workspace ID for the associated Slack workpsace. |
| Is Private | Boolean value to determine whether the channel is private. For more information on channel privacy, see What is a channel? in the Slack Help Center. |
| Slack Channel Manager ID(s) | Slack user ID to assign the Channel Manager role. Find Slack user IDs using the Look Up a Slack User action or open a user profile and click Copy member ID. To assign multiple Channel Managers, store the user IDs in an array, then use that variable as the Channel Manager input value. |
Store Output Values
