          Add Elements in Auto-Layout

Adding an element in auto-layout automatically connects the element to the elements before and after it on the path. Screen elements that you add open in a separate window, while non-screen elements open their properties panel directly on the canvas.

          1. Add and configure a screen element.
            1. In the place that you want to put the element, click Add element, and then select Screen.
              The New Screen window opens.
            2. Enter a label and API name for the element.
            3. Add components or fields to the screen and configure each in the properties panel.
            4. Click Done to close the New Screen window.
The new screen element automatically connects to the elements before and after it on the path.
            5. To undo the addition of the screen element, click Cancel.
            6. Document the screen element's purpose in the Description field.
            7. Save your flow.
          2. Add and configure a non-screen element.
            1. In the place that you want to put the element, click Add element, and then select an element.
The new element automatically connects to the elements before and after it on the path, and its properties panel opens.
            2. Configure the element in the properties panel.
            3. To hide a properties panel on the canvas, click Close element panel.
            4. Document the element's purpose in the Description field.
            5. Save your flow.
