          Activate or Deactivate a Flow

          Activate or Deactivate a Flow

You can activate or deactivate a flow from the Automation app Flows tab or the Flow Builder canvas.

          Required Editions

          View supported editions.
          User Permissions Needed
To open, edit, create, activate or deactivate a flow using all flow types, elements, and features available in Flow Builder, including Einstein and Agentforce for Flow: Manage Flow
To activate an autolaunched flow that has a trigger: View All Data

When you activate a flow version, any previously activated version is deactivated. However, any running flow interview continues to the version that it started with.

If you activate a flow in a sandbox and then move it to production, you can't click the Activate button until you save the flow as a new version. Because sandbox orgs and production orgs can have differences, including properties and IDs, always debug the flow using rollback mode after moving it from a sandbox to production.
