Review a history of saves for the current flow version and restore the flow to an
earlier save. Each time you save a flow, a save instance is added to the version edit history.
Save instances show the date, the user who saved the flow, and a summary of elements added,
edited, or deleted.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Marketing Cloud
Growth or Advanced Edition
Save your flow at least once to create a save instance.
Edit History is available for automation event-triggered, audience (segment, list, record
query, and campaign), activation-triggered, and on-demand flows. It isn't available for screen
flows, record-triggered flows, or orchestrations.
In Flow Builder, click Edit History in the toolbar.
If the flow has unsaved changes, the This Flow Has Unsaved Changes
modal appears. Click Save and View Edit History to save the flow and
open the edit history panel, or click Cancel to return to the flow and
review your changes first.
The Flow Version Edit History panel opens. The canvas switches
to read-only mode.
In the Flow Version Edit History panel, review the list of save
instances.
Each instance shows the date it was created and the name of the user who saved the
flow.
Click a save instance to preview the flow state at that point.
You view the flow as it was when that save occurred.
The save instance card shows a summary of elements added, edited, or deleted compared to
the previous save instance.
To restore the flow to a save instance, click Restore on the save
instance card.
Restoring switches the flow back to edit mode with the state from the selected save
instance.
You can then continue editing from that restored state.
You must click Save to keep the restored state.
Note The edit history is specific to the current flow version. If you create a
new version, the edit history doesn't carry over.
To exit Edit History without restoring, click Exit Edit
History.
Note You can't edit the flow while viewing edit history.
