          View Flow Run for Individual

          Trace an individual's actual execution path through a completed flow run to troubleshoot issues, understand personalization outcomes, or investigate specific customer experiences.

          Before viewing individual record runs, make sure you have the required permissions and setup:

          • To view flow run analytics for an individual, you need the Marketing Cloud Admin and Marketing Cloud Manager permission sets.
          • Individual record runs data is available only for marketing flow types with Data 360 element-level logging enabled: Automation Event Triggered flows and Segment Triggered flows.
          • Individual record runs data requires Data 360 storage and may impact your credit consumption.
          • Individual record runs data is retained based on your Data 360 data retention settings.

          Use individual record run data to troubleshoot specific issues and understand how contacts experience your flows:

          • Investigate customer complaints: See exactly what messages they received and when
          • Verify personalization logic: Confirm that decision elements worked as expected for specific contacts
          • Identify flow bottlenecks: Find where individuals are getting stuck or experiencing delays
          • Debug error scenarios: Examine the exact conditions that led to element failures
          • Validate flow changes: Compare paths taken before and after modifications
          1. Open the flow version in Flow Builder.
          2. Click View Additional Analytics on the canvas.
          3. From the dropdown menu, select View Flow Run for Individual.
          4. In the modal that opens, find the individual whose flow run you want to examine.

            The record selection modal displays key information about each flow run:

            • Individual ID: The unique identifier for the person
            • First Name and Last Name: When available from the individual's profile
            • Flow Status: Completed, In Progress, Error, or other execution states
            • Flow Scheduled Time: When the flow run was initiated
            • Flow Completed Time: When the flow run finished (if completed)
          5. Apply filters to the table using data such as name or flow run status.
          6. If an individual has multiple flow runs, locate the specific instance with the start time you want to examine.
          7. Click on the row for the flow run you want to examine and click Select.
            The canvas updates to show their actual execution path with blue lines indicating the exact route taken through the flow and an element-by-element breakdown in the side panel of the individual's path through the flow.

          After selecting an individual's flow run, the canvas displays their exact execution path with blue highlighting, and a side panel shows chronological details for each element they encountered. Each element displays timestamped information including scheduled time, completion time, current status, and error details when applicable. To view analytics for a different individual, click Select Flow Run for Individual and search for the desired user.
