Slack Flow Core Actions

Manage Slack channels, channel members, and messages from flows. As your Salesforce records change, a flow can trigger changes in Slack.

Important Slack Flow core actions execute in user context. The flow has access to whatever the running user of the flow has access to.

Before using a core action for Slack, you must connect Salesforce and Slack.

In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. Select the Slack category, and search for an action.

Add Users to a Slack Channel Action
Adds users to a channel in Slack.
Archive Slack Channel Action
Archives a channel in Slack. Archived channels in Slack are closed to new activity, but the message history is retained.
Create a Salesforce Channel in Slack Action
Creates a Slack channel associated with the Salesforce record selected in your flow. This channel becomes discoverable through other flow actions, record unfurls, and Slack list views.
Create a Slack Canvas Action
Creates a canvas in Slack. A Slack canvas is a surface built into Slack where you can create and share fully-formatted content.
Create Slack Channel Action
Creates a Slack channel. Channels in Slack can be either public or private.
Look Up a Salesforce Channel in Slack Action
Identifies whether a record has a corresponding Salesforce channel in Slack and provides the corresponding channel ID.
Look Up a Slack User Action
Identifies a Salesforce user's Slack ID.
Pin Slack Message Action
Pins a message to the top of a Slack channel.
Send Message to a Slack Channel Action
Sends a configured message to a specific Slack channel.
Send Slack Direct Message to Salesforce App Action
Sends a configured message to a user's Salesforce app within Slack.
Share Slack Canvas Action
Shares a canvas to a channel or direct message in Slack.
