          Archive Slack Channel Action (Legacy)

          Archive a Slack channel in a Slack workspace.

          Required Editions

          View supported editions.

          Before using a core action for Slack, enable Salesforce for Slack integrations.

          In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. In the New Action window, select Slack, and then select Archive Slack Channel.

          Important
          Important Legacy actions are based on an outdated way of using Flows with Slack. Use the new Archive Slack Channel action for the best expereince.

          Before using a core action for Slack, enable Salesforce for Slack integrations.

          In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. Select the Slack category, and search for an action.

          Set Connection Values for Slack

          The flow sends the connection values that you provide to Slack to retrieve an access token.

          Input Parameter Description
          Slack App

          Required. The Slack app that executes the action. Only Slack apps that are installed for the org are available. The input value evaluates to the Slack app ID.

          Slack Workspace

          Required. The Slack workspace where the Slack app is installed. Select a value or resource. The input value evaluates to the Slack workspace ID.

          Execute Action As

          The entity that executes the action. Valid values are:

          • Slack App—Execute the action as the Slack app that you selected in the Slack App field. It’s the default value.
          • Run as Current User— Execute the action as the user running the Invocable action. The user must be connected to Slack, otherwise the action fails.

          Set Slack Channel

          Input Parameter Description
          Slack Channel ID

          Required. The ID of the channel to archive.

          Get the Slack channel ID by logging in to Slack.com and launching Slack in your browser. The channel ID is the last parameter in the URL. For example, in this URL, the channel ID is C56789FGHIJ:

          https://app.slack.com/client/T01234ABCDE/C56789FGHIJ

          Usage

          To use this action, you must accept the Slack Terms of Service in Setup and install one of the official Salesforce Slack apps in your Slack workspace.
