The Create Consent action element updates the consent status for the contact point
related to a unified individual in a flow. For a specific channel and communication subscription
combination, you can set a contact point's consent status to Opt In or Opt Out.

Growth or Advanced Edition.
Create an automation event-triggered or Data Cloud-triggered flow, add the Create Consent
action element in Flow Builder, and configure the input values in the side panel.
Input Parameter
Description
Consent Status
A consent status you want assign to the contact point that's related to a unified
individual in the flow.
Contact Point
Contact information that's used to receive marketing communications for a channel,
such as an email address or phone number. You can update multiple contact points with a
single Create Consent action.
Channel
A type of marketing channel, such as email or SMS. Each contact point you include is
related to one channel.
Communication Subscription
The type of marketing content the consent allows, such as a weekly newsletter. Each
contact point you include is related to one communication subscription.
Usage
To automate consent updates, use the Create Consent action in any event-triggered or Data
Cloud-triggered flow. For example, create a consent record when someone submits a form or
updates their email address.
Note In a Data Cloud-triggered flow, configure the Start element to use only A record
is updated or A record is created or updated. The option to
trigger the flow when a record is created isn't currently supported.
