Store a record that you sort and filter from a data source. Use a selected record
resource to access nested data from data graphs and other data sources, and reference it in flow
elements for personalization, decisions, and assignments.
A selected record resource lets you traverse nested, one-to-many data structures—such as
orders and order line items in a Data Graph—and retrieve a single, well-defined record using
sort and filter logic. You can then reference that record in flow elements wherever the
resource type is supported.
Create a selected record resource from the Resources tab in Flow Builder or from resource
selection in a supported flow element field.
The selected record resource is supported in segment flows and activation-triggered
flows.
Data Source
The collection to retrieve a record from. Search for and select a supported collection,
such as a Data Graph path. For example,
$UnifiedIndividual > Individual > Orders.
Sort Conditions
Determines which record is returned when multiple records in the data source match the
filter conditions. At least one sort condition is required.
Field
Description
Field
The field in the data source to sort by. Multiple sort conditions must use
fields at the same level of the data source.
Order
The sort direction: ascending or descending.
Filter Conditions
Optional. Narrows the collection before the sort is applied. Without filter conditions,
all records in the data source are evaluated and the sort determines which record is
returned.
Field
Description
Condition Logic
Controls how multiple conditions within a single data source level are
evaluated. Select All conditions are met (AND) or
Any conditions are met (OR). Conditions across levels always
use AND logic.
Field, Operator,
Value
The field, comparison operator, and value that define each filter
condition.
