Look Up a Salesforce Channel in Slack Action

Identifies whether a record has a corresponding Salesforce channel in Slack and provides the corresponding channel ID.

Required Editions

View supported editions.

In Flow Builder, add an Action element to your flow. In the New Action window, select Slack, and then select Look Up a Salesforce Channel in Slack.

Usage

To use this action, you must connect Salesforce and Slack, and set the Find or Create a Salesforce Channel Workflow Builder step in Slack to Everyone. The user you set as the canvas owner can manage access permissions in Slack to share it with others.

Set Slack Channel Details

Input Parameter Description
Saleforce Record ID Channel identifier from a previous Flow step or copied from Slack. Find a channel ID in Slack using a channel list export, or get it directly from the channel by clicking the channel header and copying the channel ID at the bottom of the page. You can’t send messages to private channels or Slack Connect channels.
Slack User IDs Collection of Slack user IDs to add. Find Slack user IDs using the Look Up a Slack User Action action or open a user profile and click Copy member ID.
