          Considerations for Using Sales Account Research

          Before you research accounts with generative AI, consider supported functionality, usage, limitations and allowances, limits, and other issues.

          Account Research stores results in the language of the user who generated it. Users see research results in the language last used for generation. Regenerating the research in a different language also updates the language of the results.

          Einstein Trust Layer Service Support

          Account Research supports the Trust Layer services provided on the Salesforce generative AI platform, as described in Einstein Trust Layer.

          Service Description
          Data Masking Account Research supports data masking provided by the Einstein Trust Layer. However, Account Research can’t perform research on masked company names.

          Ask your Salesforce admin about which Einstein Trust Layer services are enabled in your Salesforce org and available for Account Research.

          Account Research and Generative AI Usage

          Agentforce Usage Types (for Agentforce conversations) and Einstein Requests are metrics for generative AI. The use of generative AI capabilities, in either a production or sandbox environment, consumes Einstein Requests and possibly Data 360 credits. See Generative AI Billable Usage Types.

          Limitations and Allowances

          • Account Research only supports business accounts. You can’t use Account Research on person accounts.
          • Account Research isn’t available in Government Cloud.
          • You can’t update fields with Account Research results in these situations.
            • When fields aren’t on the page layout
            • When fields aren’t editable by the running user
            • When a custom prompt template maps a research area to the same field as a pre-configured research area
          • Map only one prompt template per field when creating custom research areas with Prompt Builder.
          • You can store Account Research results in standard fields and in custom fields. When customizing Account Research with Prompt Builder, map research results to these field types.

          Other Considerations

          • The Agentforce for Sales add-on license or Agentforce 1 Sales Edition is required to access the Account Research feature and related permission sets.
          • Running users must have edit access on Account and Account Plan to update fields with research results.
