| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited Editions with Sales, and Agentforce 1 Sales Edition |
Requirements
- Buyer Relationship Map is a different feature from Einstein Relationship Insights. They aren’t designed to run together.
- To show contacts on the map, contacts must have values for Seniority Level and Department Group fields. To automatically complete these values from your email activity, enable Automatic Contact Enhancements.
New Contact Fields
Buyer Relationship Map makes these fields available for a contact.
- Department Group—Represents the business unit, function, or department that contacts belong to in their company.
- Seniority Level—Reflects the hierarchical position that contacts have in their company.
- Buyer Attributes (optional)—Reflect the roles that contacts have on a deal or account.
To see Buyer Attributes, Department Group, and Seniority Level on the contact record, add the fields to the Contact record layout. Buyer Attributes, Department Group, and Seniority Level fields are available for all user profiles except custom and minimum-access. To provide access, use field-level security in Object Manager.
Key Field Values
Key values are minimum buyer attributes, department groups, and seniority levels that Salesforce recommends for an opportunity or account. If a buyer relationship map doesn’t have contacts with key values, Salesforce prompts you to add them through insights. Having all key values represented by stakeholders on the map provides a complete picture of the deal or account, increasing sales success.
Key buyer attributes are:
- Business User
- Buyer
- Champion
- Decision Maker
- Detractor
- Executive Sponsor
Key department groups are:
- Chief Executive
- Finance
- Legal
- Tech
Key seniority levels are:
- CEO
- Director or Manager
- Executive
- VP
Limitations
- Buyer Relationship Map isn’t supported in Salesforce mobile app.
- Person accounts aren’t supported.
- Insights don’t show for private contacts on the map.
- You can’t change the text of Department Group and Seniority Level picklist value labels.
- To ensure that the buyer relationship map feature works as expected, don’t change Buyer
Attributes picklist value labels in Object Manager. For example, if you change
DetractortoDetract, the value isn’t highlighted in red in a buyer relationship map.
