            Update and Migrate to Sync Email as Salesforce Activity

            If you set up Einstein Activity Capture before Summer '25, update to turn on Sync Email as Salesforce Activity and migrate previously captured email to activity data. If you don't update before the date given in your Einstein Activity Capture Settings, we migrate your data and select your settings for you.

            Available with Einstein Activity Capture Standard in Sales in Starter, Pro Suite, Professional, and Enterprise Editions
            Available with Unlimited Edition, Einstein 1 Sales Edition, and Agentforce 1 Edition
            Available with Einstein for Sales, which is included in Einstein 1 Sales Edition and available for an extra cost in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
            Available with Sales Engagement, which is included with Sales in Performance and Unlimited Editions, and available for an extra cost in Professional and Enterprise Editions
            Available with Revenue Intelligence, which is available for an extra cost in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
            Important
            Important The date for the automigration to is unique to each org. Notifications will be sent on a rolling basis starting early June 2026. Check your Einstein Activity Capture settings for your timeline.

            With Sync Email as Salesforce Activity, Einstein Activity Capture saves all captured email data as activity data. This data is available to platform tools and operations, including agents and AI powered-features, standard reports, workflow automation, and APIs. Customize how emails are matched to contacts, leads, accounts, and opportunities. Control what gets captured: the entire email or just the header. And manage email sharing and all other activity sharing from one setting.

            If you don't complete the update before your automigration date, Salesforce migrates your org automatically using full email capture and your maximum email retention history. After the migration completes, you can return to Einstein Activity Capture Settings to customize your configuration.

            • Start the Update and Migrate to Sync Email as Salesforce Activity
              Before you begin, complete the recommended setting changes to make sure that all existing email migrates the way you want. Follow the prompts in Setup to start the process, which runs and completes automatically. You can’t stop the process or roll back to the previous version of Einstein Activity Capture. If you already have Sync Email as Salesforce Activity turned on, it’s not necessary to update or migrate.
