Connect Einstein Activity Capture to Microsoft Exchange using User-Level
Authentication
The user-level authentication method is available for Microsoft Exchange on-premises
servers and Microsoft Office 365. After users are assigned to Einstein Activity Capture, they’re
prompted to connect their Microsoft account to Salesforce.

Performance and Unlimited Editions, and available for an extra cost
in Professional and Enterprise Editions
Available with Revenue Intelligence, which is available for an extra cost in
Enterprise and Unlimited Editions

To view the Einstein Activity Capture setup pages:
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Einstein Activity
Capture, and then select Settings.
If it’s your first time setting up Einstein Activity Capture, the setup flow guides
you through the steps. If you already set up Einstein Activity Capture and want to change
the authentication method, reset Einstein Activity Capture.
Select Microsoft Exchange as the email and calendar app.
Select User-Level Auth as your authentication method.
Salesforce prompts users to connect their Microsoft Office 365 account to Salesforce. Until
they do, they can’t send emails in Lightning Experience.
