Outlook and Gmail Integration with Inbox Cookies

Outlook and Gmail Integration with Inbox Cookies

The Outlook and Gmail integrations with Inbox use cookies to establish and identify unique user sessions and to increase security.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Unlimited, Einstein 1 Sales, and Agentforce 1 Sales Editions. Available for an extra cost in Professional and Enterprise Editions.

The Outlook and Gmail integrations with Inbox use cookies to maintain data access during a session and to prevent cross-site request forgery when requests are made between the client and the server.

The following table describes the cookies that Salesforce collects for the Outlook and Gmail integrations with Inbox. These cookies are required for the apps to work correctly.

Cookie Name Duration Cookie Type Description
JSESSIONID Session Required Identifies a user’s unique session of the app for login, authentication, and data purposes. Each time a user logs in, a different session ID is created so information is stored and passed between the client and server for that session only.
XSRF-TOKEN Session Required Captures a value that is used to identify requests from a user’s logged in session. Salesforce servers generate and send the cookie to the client when the session is established. When the client requests information from the server, it includes the unique cookie value in the request. The cookie values must match for the server to accept the request.
