To make the new forecast type available on the forecasts page, return to the Forecasts
Settings page and select Activate from the quick actions for the
forecasts type. You can have up to four active forecast types at one time. To edit an active
forecast, such as choosing the columns to display, or changing forecasts roll-up, click
Edit from the quick actions list for the active forecast.
Warning
Deactivating a forecast type deletes the related forecasting data.
Define Data Model Relationships for Your Forecast To determine what to show as rows and columns in a consumption forecast type, identify the data model relationships that you defined in Data 360. Define the parent-child relationships between data model objects (DMOs) and identify their lookup fields. Defining these relationships and their lookup fields ensures that your forecast rolls up accurately.
Determine How to Roll Up Forecasts Keep your sales team informed about what’s happening at every level and let them see forecast rollups across your business.
Add Columns to a Forecast Type To show forecast measures on the forecasts page, add columns to the grid. You can add up to nine columns, including the quota column.
Enable Custom Adjustments Let forecast users configure adjustments based on the total value for upcoming periods. To enable custom adjustments on a measure column, you must first enable adjustments on that measure column.
