          Finalize the Path

          Choose the final path step, following the order of the picklist values that the path is based on. Then, add the path to the related record pages.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Essentials, Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          User Permissions Needed
          To customize the last step of a path:

          Modify All Data

          OR

          Customize Application

          Configure the Last Path Step

          1. From the Object Manager, go to the management settings for the object that your path is based on and select Fields and Relationships.
          2. Select the field your path is based on.
          3. Find the list of picklist values for the field. For each picklist value that represents completion of the path, verify that the field attribute indicates a closed or completed status.
            For most objects, the last step represents a closed stage or status. The field attributes indicating closed or completed status vary by object and field. Here are some examples.
            Object Field Action
            Opportunity Stage Select a Type of Closed/Won or Closed/Lost.
            Case Status Select the Closed option.
            Work Order or Work Order Line Item Status Select a Status Category of Canceled, Cannot Complete, Completed, or Closed.
          4. Click Save.

          Add the Path to the Lightning Record Page

          1. Go to a record for the object your path is based on.
          2. From Setup, select Edit Page.
          3. In the search box, enter Path.
          4. Drag the Path component onto the record page.
          5. Click Save.
          6. To activate the page, click Activate, and then click Close.
